I'm looking for any McShep or gen fic where accidently, under the influence, AMTDI, intentionally but with good intentions, John does or says or behaves in a way that hurts or even kills Rodney (temporarily or actual death or ascenion). I'll also count emotional hurt and pain!
I'd perfer happy endings and fics that go into John's guilt and Rodney's response. Although I'm good with other people being involved and someone else making John realize what he did.
I don't mind fics where Rodney ends up with a disability (temp or otherwise) or just becomes afriad of John.

And in a somehow more painful note: if you know of any fics that are similar but John actually drives Rodney to suicide or just deals with the aftermath of his suicide.
I'm in the mood for some emotional pain!!

Only thing I wouldn't like is infidelity or juat evil John who wants to hurt Rodney or rape/any kind of sexual assult.

Hey! I was wondering if you guys know of any fics that involve John or Rodney wearing each others clothes, even if it's platonic (although I perfer McShep slash!!)

Also if you know of any fics where they don't go to Atlantis or it doesn't exist and John (or Rodney) goes to serve overseas and then comes back and suprises them. I'm a sucker for soldier coming home videos!

Hello everyone! I'm looking for fics exactly like my title says. As much as I like Rodney whump fics I also enjoy fics where Rodney is in angst city emotionally or mentally with a happy ending of Rodney returning to his awesome condescending self. :)

I've read just about every fic in Ibnff's post-Trinity rec list so I am searching for fics outside of that list. They can be post- trinity or trinity related but I'm pretty sure I've run that particular well dry unless there are some new ones I haven't read. *hopes there are*

I like any pairing, any warnings, any verse. My only no no's are death fics and darks fics.

I'm having a little SGA rewatch and just watched Letters from Pegasus. ~~I nearly tore up during Elizabeth's message and~~ I think I'd really like to read fics that either feature messages from the Pegasus galaxy or video goodbye messages or tags to Letters from Pegasus. I remember reading a fic called Five messages from Pegasus that were never sent which was about what I'd like to read so if you have any other fics like that to recommend, I'd be happy :)

Even better if it contains OCs, actually. Gen and het are both okay, slash is okay (though not what I'm looking for in the first place) but please no McShep (seriously, I'm begging you. Absolutely. No. McShep.).

Hey all, ages ago, on the sgastoryfinders thread I requested/found Remembering Them by titan5. It's a great story where Sheppard remembers a family he lost, and his team helps him find closure of a sort. Titan5 mentioned it was written in response to the Loss of a Child prompt on Sheppard HC. I'm looking for a mcshep fic where John is acting like asshole to Rodney for some reason. Cheating, fucking with his head, saying something insulting and so on that sort of thing. It may be for some kind of reason like misunderstanding or John's issues with, well, everything, or it's just the way he is. And McKay is pining for him, obvious to John or no, anyway.

Ok, I've looked through the bottom!John and mcshep tags but didn't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for fics where John (in character) breaks down and cries. I don't want frou frou, touchy feely John. I want emotionally retarded, it takes a metric ton of shit to make this boy cry John. So, I'm ok with death!fics. Esp if Rodney's death is what makes John cry.

Hit me with your best shot, y'all. I've currently got two fics that fit this bill and I wrote one so it doesn't count. (The other is one I can't remember exactly right now, but people decide to leave Atlantis through faking their deaths and when Rodney fakes his death it's all too much for John and he cries.) Note -- that parenthetical is NOT a fic which I'm currently seeking. I've got it bookmarked and it's well loves.

Otherwise, give me your weepy John Sheppards...

Are there any stories about Atlantis finding out about the current events going on in the real world, particularly the tragedies. Like where they find out and deal with the 2004 Tsunami, the Haitian earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, etc. Also are there any fics that show how Atlantis commemorates 9/11, or have someone explaining to Ronon/Teyla why it's such an important day to the Americans. Hi!

I'm looking for a strange catagory. I have three fictions as examples, the brilliant 'Absolute Corruption' by

cypher and Black Helicopters by

wizzy and again in the fantastic 'Sacrifices Made' by

blackchaps where everything is turned on its head by the end of the fiction. In all of these fictions I kind of felt - at some point - I was sucker punched with the truth, especially in Black Helicopters when John's intentions are revealed in the second long story of the series, and then in Absolute Corruption near the end where the tables are turned on Rodney and he finds what he thought was true isn't.

So I guess what I am looking for McShep stories that are written really well in which the reader doesn't see the twist coming. The reader gets sucker punched by something in the story. Very evocative and emotional stories, but no death-fics please. AU or canon is fine, but must be McShep even if it takes a long time to get there. Bonus points if the character is just as sucker punched as we are!

Hope some people have some good suggestions for me! I'm pretty open minded about fic and have read a lot so hoping there are some great ones I have missed out there!

I'm in the mood for some angsty stories post Doranda. You know, the almost cliche where Rodney gets blamed and treated badly

Most of the stories I read have people realizing their mistake after McKay was put into some mortal danger, and somehow make it up to him, and voila, happily ever after. But today I want some not-so-happy endings.

I want people to realize their harsh treatment of Rodney was excessive, but not because Rodney was suddenly suicidal/captured/injured while saving every body..... I want them to realize it gradually, when anger dissipates and rational thoughts finally win out.

I want Rodney to change his opinion of people, but not so much so that he can no longer work with them. More like, okay, perhaps we weren't really friends after all, but it was good while it lasted. Or, is it me that somehow invites abuse, since no one else gets blamed so harshly for their mistakes? Some depressing (or self pitying) but still rational analysis of the situation, but no excessive wallowing please.

I also don't want everything to go back to normal or even better than before in the end. The relationships between Rodney and other people maybe permanently damaged. They may or may not repair them enough to have a meaningful team anymore. I imagine the stories would be about mistakes and regrets, of lost chances, and so on.

I like McShep, but gen would be totally welcome too.

Hi, new here. I’m looking for suicide/death-fics where Atlantis is forced to deal with the aftermath of Rodney’s death after he commits suicide.

1. Looking for anything where the main characters fight over whose fault it is that Rodney killed himself (leave no prisoners!) I would prefer that the fallout be focused on as many points of view as possible, but specific character’s POVs are fine. Multiple character-whump is greatly appreciated!

2. This can also include any fics were Rodney fakes his own death – and everyone believes it – in order to leave Atlantis because he can’t handle the stress and/or lack of respect. Atlantis can eventually learn that he’s still alive, or not.

I'm looking for slash fics, preferably McShep where cudding and/or sex is used as comfort or to soothe (eta: after a character has been traumatized/victimized). I've read Chelle's Place Your Hand, which is fantastic, but I'm looking more for the cliched fic, perhaps something a bit schmoopy. It's totally fine if the comfort doesn't 'cure' the victim, just so long as it's lovey-dovey.

I don't care who the victim is. Any rating is fine, as are AUs. On-page non-con is fine. Any length. As I said, McShep is my preferred pairing, but if this isn't possible, then if at least one of the characters involved is John or Rodney, that would be great. RPS is good, too. :) If there's a fic that you think is well-written, please asterisk it so I can head there first.

I'm looking for fic where Rodney goes off with someone else (Jennifer, Katie, some guy, whoever) and then decides to come back to John. And instead of saying yes, John says "no" or maybe "not in a million years because you threw me away and i'm not your toy"...you know, something like that. Or if he does take Rodney back, he makes him work for it & prove he wants him.

Also, I'm in the mood for a good cry, can anyone recommend a fic that made them cry? Especially if you cried because you were touched, but anything you can recommend would be great.

Hey all,

I've just re-read 'He's having her baby' by glitterati (here) and am wondering if there are any more fics like this - but with a more serious tone.

I'm looking for fics where someone (preferably Rodney, but really anyone will do) gets pregnant and then for some reason or another loses the baby. Perhaps they're told they're pregnant and get all excited about it only to find out later that it's not true.

Proper tear-jerkers would be perfect.
