First of all, I love this comm and have found some great fic through it!

I was wondering if there are any McShep pairings where one half of the duo (probably Rodney) thinks the other won't be interested in him unless he changes who he is. Or maybe an established relationship that one of them fears losing, so he tries to be what he thinks the other wants. Of course the response to this is along the lines of, "But I like you because you're you."

So I loved 'Replaced' by thought reflex and wondered if there was anything out there similar, where Rodney feels very insecure, and thinks he's only wanted for his brain and no one actually cares about him personally.

I love team fics so hard and Rodney and John's friendship, I'm not big into slash so would prefer Gen.

The longer the better and if I read something that doesn't end happy I'll be sad all day, so happy endings only please :)

I'm so very new to this fandom -- actually I'm just into the second season, but I'm already getting all crazy about Sheppard. God, I can't believe I'm more than 10 years late to the party...
ANYWAY. I'm sure there must be tons of Shep Whumpage fics out there? I've just read a handful of fics yet so it's like a whole new feeding ground to me, yay! please just rec me with those most delicious hurt!Shep fics! I know there probably are some golden mines under FF and AO3, but I think maybe I should get started with, say, some "classic" ones? So I figured I'll just try my lucks here. Hopefully I can get some responds.
Here're my requests:
1) Absolute Shep!Centric; I don't care about the pov, as long as the story is focused on Sheppard; and probably for the same reason... I'd also like Shep to be the only one get whumped, or at least he takes the major blow.
2) ANY form of whumpage is OK. Sextually or physically or emotionally (preferably it comes with the former two ones), injuries or illness or some kind of disabilities, beaten up or get tortured... I'd read any thing.
3) I'd prefer gen fic, team fic, friendship fic, but no het. If it's a slash fic, I'd prefer Ronon/Shep, but I'll try other pairings, too. (I love Dr.McKay and I'm perfectly fine with him being a bantering buddy with Sheppard, but currently I just don't, and can't see him as a romantic partener... I dunno, I just can't!) I am actually a big time slash reader, but somehow I feel more in the gen mood with John. Oh, and... I can only read bottom!Sheppard, so please do not rec me with any fics are not.
4) The longer the better! Cuz that way Sheppard can be whumped slowly and beautifully (*/ω＼*), or he can get some healthy dose of comfort. Bonus if the story features some protective!team members

Hey, I'm looking for some good Sheppard featured stories:

1.) Sheppard puts everyone before himself, and it finally catches up to him in the end.

2.) Sheppard and Ronon stories, friendship only, no slash!

3.) Sheppard angst, any stories that really put Sheppard through the ringer emotinally, where he feels guilt but it is misplaced, where someone dies on his watch or he feels the team doesnt really need him anything of the sort.

4.) Any well written, stories where Sheppard is the main character. Preferrably Gen, but I can deal with het/slash.

5.) Also, any good protective Sheppard stories out there. Doesn't matter who is being protective of just well written Sheppard fic. And in return any stories where they team are extremely protective of Sheppard.

hey guys! im looking for mcshep stories that have to do with misunderstandings/miscommunication, like maybe rodney/john thinks the other doesnt like them or misinterpreting their relationship (thinking its just friends with benefits when they actually love each other and stuff like that). the issues make for times that are a bit angsty, in a heartache kind of way. not anything extreme, like permanent break ups or death. thanks!

Hello everyone! I'm looking for fics exactly like my title says. As much as I like Rodney whump fics I also enjoy fics where Rodney is in angst city emotionally or mentally with a happy ending of Rodney returning to his awesome condescending self. :)

I've read just about every fic in Ibnff's post-Trinity rec list so I am searching for fics outside of that list. They can be post- trinity or trinity related but I'm pretty sure I've run that particular well dry unless there are some new ones I haven't read. *hopes there are*

I like any pairing, any warnings, any verse. My only no no's are death fics and darks fics.

I'm looking for fics (gen or any pairing) that focus on Rodney being emotionally hurt. Rodney is insecure, feels rejected, etc. Not just a little, but stories that evoke that cold, sinking feeling, like you just got kicked in the stomach. Happy and sad endings welcome.

I was listening to an older Ani DiFranco album "Out of Range" and found 2 songs ("Overlap" and "You've had Time") fit John and Rodney quite well. I would like to read a fic with John or Rodney or both being musicians. Prefer McShep slash but any genre is great. The angstier the better, but happy ending is preferred. Thank you so much.

Okay there are a lot of stories about Rodney having body issues and/or eating disorders, but I've been hard pressed to find any with John having those problems. And I've spent the better part of the night searching tags and comms for some. So, are there any stories where John has an eating disorder? Bonus points if he tries to hide it and then has to be forced to eat/get help. Happy endings preferred, and my preference is for McShep, but I'll take gen as well. Thanks!!

Two very different kinds of requests:

- McShep fics where John pursues a reluctant Rodney (or insecure or possibly even oblivious Rodney). Canon or AU, happy ending a must, explicit sex and bottom!Rodney a plus. I would adore long fics but short ones are good as well (I read the snippet Sheppard's Goal by Cypher and loved it and also read the fic by Mystic that it inspired Stanley Is Just a Cup (Sports AU are okay but not mandatory)).

zaganthi and loved it, how the characters are twisted, how the fic presents a darker kind of Atlantis that could be a very real possibility, and I'm looking for more. McShep preferred and, again, bottom!Rodney is a major plus.

Are there any fics out there where John never got turned back to himself after the Iratus bug Conversion episode? That John basically stayed Bug!John?

I'd love any fics you've got on that, especially McShep fics where the difference on his new xenophysical attributes is emphasized.
LIke maybe a change in social behavior? Physical atributes? Mentality? Relationships? ect. ect.

Looking for fics in which Sheppard, while still fit and vital, is beginning to feel his age, on and/or off duty. Want main focus to be on Sheppard - how he's feeling and learning to deal with it, and maybe how he feels he is viewed in the eyes of his young subordinates. Ok, what I really, really need to read right now is a fic where John, Radek, Carson, Keller, Ronan, Teyla, Elizabeth, Carter and just about anyone else you can think of, be it singularly or all together, warn people or teach them how to treat Rodney. You know. "Rodney is the Geek King, do not treat him like he doesn't know anything just because your military and he's civillian, he can probably kick your ass in true geek style if you do." "Never, ever take Rodneys coffee. First rule of the lab. The results are never pretty." funny ones, more serious ones. Just fics were it is mentioned that Rodney must be treated in a certain way.

Secondly fics where Rodney is Rodney. But also where he is being insecure; the only thing is that John (because I am McShep fan!) doesn't realise this straight off because Rodney doesn't do what other people tend to do when they're insecure (Maybe he becomes even more brilliant or something, I don't know) and this leads to misunderstandings and eventual comfort as John figures it out.

Lastly; AU fics, could someone please rec me some good fusion fics; I did like the Eureka series, and the one with Firefly and Sky High, I am a huge fantasy fan, but I'll take anything from sci-fi to rom com (cutsey teenage things like 10 things I hate about you and similar)... though... has anyone done a SGA/SGU fusion, where the SGA team are aboard the SGU ship and can't get off? Anyway, just some awesome AU's.
