I'm looking for any McShep or gen fic where accidently, under the influence, AMTDI, intentionally but with good intentions, John does or says or behaves in a way that hurts or even kills Rodney (temporarily or actual death or ascenion). I'll also count emotional hurt and pain!
I'd perfer happy endings and fics that go into John's guilt and Rodney's response. Although I'm good with other people being involved and someone else making John realize what he did.
I don't mind fics where Rodney ends up with a disability (temp or otherwise) or just becomes afriad of John.

And in a somehow more painful note: if you know of any fics that are similar but John actually drives Rodney to suicide or just deals with the aftermath of his suicide.
I'm in the mood for some emotional pain!!

Only thing I wouldn't like is infidelity or juat evil John who wants to hurt Rodney or rape/any kind of sexual assult.

So, is there anything out there with significant Rodney whump -- that actually deals with the recovery? To be honest, I don't care how much detail is attributed to the actual trauma - if at all -- I'm just looking for something that deals with McKay recovering from something traumatic. Preferably rape, but any well-written trauma will do.

Also, I am not into magical healing cock, nor a world where everyone is suddenly gay -- or where everyone is strictly hetro, for that matter -- because it seems the really well fics I have found have centred around everyone being attracted to their own gender and BDSM; thats something I'm just not into - I don't care who is, I have had the world explained to me numerous times, and I respect it, it's just something that I can't get into.

So, going off that, any recs?

I need some good McShep with a lot of love but dealing with trauma. Probably established relationship but a good first time would be great too. I'm thinking of the pair dealing with some trouble and their love makes it easier/possible to make it through. In spite of that, I don't like overly maudlin hyper-emotional scenes. Happy and or hopeful endings, please. I want to wallow.

I went ahead and tagged illness/injury/h/c etc assuming that at least some of those would be in a story of this type but it most certainly does not have to be included. Also gen or slash or whatever is fine.

I was just reading one of my favorites again, Conspiracies, Investigations, and Exploration, Oh My! by Laryn and Reflex. The story included mention of past torture Rodney had undergone years previously which probably created his claustrophobia issues. I wish there had been a continuation of the story where Rodney shared what happened with Sheppard (this story made a big deal of Sheppard having the file but not reading it as Rodney did not want him to). Anyway, it got me thinking I would like to read more stories that involved Rodney and claustrophobia. I checked tags here but didn't see that choice. I also went to Crossroads and didn't see that tag. Does anyone have any story suggestions or lists of this type that I haven't located? I prefer McShep but also like Gen. I'm not fond of McKay/Becket or other pairings. I already read the one where the new marines on Atlantis stuff Rodney in a locker and Sheppard and Becket rescue him (can't remember the name though). Who knew there would be allergy and hypoglycemia tags but no claustrophobia? I could try torture, but boy they sure have been put through the wringer, so much so that claustrophobia is hard to find! Thanks for thinking about this for me.

Hi gang,

After watching the Kolya episodes, I'm looking for fics in which Kolya breaks or makes Rodney submit to his demands by using violence/torture or threats of death. I looked through the tags and didn't find what I'm looking for. (Threats can be against Rodney or against someone else, i.e. "Do this or X dies.") I'd like a focus on Rodney's mindset regarding his giving in (specifically interested in Rodney's feelings regarding choosing doing what Kolya wants over pain). I don't want Kolya to threaten him with sexual violence or use sex to manipulate him.

It's okay if this is only a small aspect of a larger story, but I'd appreciate a heads up on what chapter it happens in.

Hurt/comfort and McShep or McShep friendship is appreciated, but not necessary.

So I'm re-watching The Walking Dead, and it gave me a hankering to read some spine-tingling SGA zombie fics. I'm looking for those fics that make you look over your shoulder, jump out of shadows, and stay awake at night. The ones that make you nearly piss your pants, really. I just read “Rattled” by Kristen999 and it has me craving more stories where one of the characters almost dies (prefer it to be John) and it's not brushed off as an everyday occurrence and has a real impact on the others. I.e. it leaves them shaken and protective while trying to come to terms emotionally. Love comfort stuff. Bonus points if it's a team fic, showing the reactions all of them.

Prefer Gen, but slash is okay. Please label them and thank you in advance!

Hi, this is quite a specific request.

Are there any stories which have people understanding the fear that McKay lives with. Not just knowing he's afraid but experiencing it for themselves because of an Ancient device (or similar) and knowing all the possible ways that things could go wrong as he thinks of them. I have this snapshot in my head of people all over Atlantis being paralysed by it and Rodney just going on business as usual.

Alternatively, any stories where something is projecting fear and McKay can ignore it.

esteefee and would now like you to rec me more stories where John gets freaked the hell out when encountering insects. It doesn't have to be a full-blown phobia, but a reaction negative enough because too many of his experiences with bugs have been bad. If you know whether a list exists somewhere, all the better!
