I've checked the tag already here and it's not quite what I'm looking for. I know I've read some before I started bookmarking but I want stories where John is really scared...like begging to go home or hiding under the bed...

I went ahead and tagged illness/injury/h/c etc assuming that at least some of those would be in a story of this type but it most certainly does not have to be included. Also gen or slash or whatever is fine.

When you're requesting a single, specific theme like you've done here it's alright to just go with the one tag that comes closest to it (fear = scared, or close enough :) ) and no more. If you'd branched out your request and mentioned other themes along the way then it would've been alright to add more, but. I still say you should tag for what you ask for as opposed to everything you're willing to accept, as that's more the gist of your search. Hope that makes sense.
