Intimidating!Sheppard

Hi everyone, happy New Year's Eve!

I'm looking for stories wherein someone is afraid of or intimidated by Sheppard as a solider/commander/warrior, or just views him as menacing in some way. Not necessarily dark!Sheppard (although that's good, too, but no evil!Sheppard, please), just someone who's perhaps very intimidating. OC pov or any of the team pov is fine, gen or slash. Bonus points if the person who is intimidated somehow underestimated him in the beginning.

I'm not sure if this exactly fits your request, but it's worth a read anyway.

You have to read "Exigencies" by rivier. It's got a very scary John rescuing Rodney from imprisonment (and some torture), and it's told from the POV of the captor's wife, who John takes hostage. Very well-written. Unfortunately, I can't find the link. But it's been recced all over the place, so try asking for it over at http://community.livejournal.com/sgastoryfinders/

Wish I knew of more stories that remind us just how dangerous John is and why you really don't want to piss him off.
