Looking for Long Angst!

Hi, I'm looking for your favorite long angsty fics. I'm going away and will need the distraction so the longer, the better. Sheppard-centric is good, slash or gen is fine, but I really want the angstiest things you've ever read. I hope this isn't too vague a request. Again - emphasis on the long, please.

Are we talking death fics here? Because the writers in this fandom are so amazing, whenever one of them writes death fics I want to kill myself. Why I don't read them, haha! Except for a couple by mistake, which is why I could rec them...

Death-fics are fine - I haven't read many but the ones I have were amazing. Darkness, atrocities, miserably unhappy people - I want it all. But what I want most are the ones that are nice, long, satisfying reads. You're right about the authors in this fandom - I don't think I've ever read better anywhere else. Auburn would probably be the first person I'd be recommending for this, but I've read everything she's written over and over, so I need something new! I look forward to your recs...

This is a story by Gaia- who no longer writes on the web but left her -amazing- site up. Rodney and Lorne and others rescue John and Teyla too late.They are alive,but so damaged... Teyla is permanently traumatised, John has the kind of mutilation every man has nightmares about.The story, told from Rodney's pov, is how they have to adjust their lives and cope.It ends up kind of OT3 but even that is gruelling.

Very. Well. Written.

Yes! This one is particularly good, but so painful. I've never really been able to forget it since I read it the first time, but that hasn't stopped me from re-reading. Just looking for some sort of understanding? Closure? I don't know. I just love it though. Thanks for the rec.
