Understanding fear

sgarecfindersHi, this is quite a specific request.
Are there any stories which have people understanding the fear that McKay lives with. Not just knowing he's afraid but experiencing it for themselves because of an Ancient device (or similar) and knowing all the possible ways that things could go wrong as he thinks of them. I have this snapshot in my head of people all over Atlantis being paralysed by it and Rodney just going on business as usual.
Alternatively, any stories where something is projecting fear and McKay can ignore it.

Date: 2009-11-30 01:14 am (UTC)John develops the ability to see everyone's thoughts and starts spending most of his time watching Rodney's thoughts, including (bot not primarily) his fears. Really wonderful depiction of the injside of Rodney's head, though.
