Indulge me, beautiful people. I have this persistent hankering for John Sheppard fics featuring clowns (okay, it was the clown noncon I found last week that seduced me to the big top, I admit). Crack is fine, or slash, or gen, darkfic/deathfic/firsttime fic (OMG fisttime clown fic FTW!) or anything with: John -- and clowns. Please?

Maybe people just aren't ready for clown-fics? But who knows, it might end up becoming the next big thing.

Coulrophobia (http://community.livejournal.com/_trouble_fics_/15909.html) by [livejournal.com profile] madd4the24, McShep, PG, the title is a good hint. ;-)

(Don't) Send in the Clowns (http://community.livejournal.com/mckay_sheppard/1361532.html) by [livejournal.com profile] bluejbird, PG, has sequel Two ways Rodney McKay runs off to join the NFL (http://community.livejournal.com/mckay_sheppard/1364249.html), also PG; in which illustrous *cough* past careers are discussed.

Competition is Healthy (http://beadattitude.livejournal.com/303476.html?thread=4764276#t4764276) by [livejournal.com profile] beadattitude, McShep, FRMA (has additional bits in the comment) has John evoking a childhood memory to himself in check. Er. All to do with sex? >.< Oh, and the sequel Competition is Healthy (part 2) (http://beadattitude.livejournal.com/303913.html) continues with the clown theme. Hee!

...Wait, some of these are actually new to you? I was sure I was just going through the motions for forms sake, here. <:o)

*pounces on CKR/Newbie(?) as well* I like the clown references in fics, but sadly there are really only a few of them that do more than just mention John's intense dislike. :-) Still, a simple search for *clowns* among my read fics came up with the above few, so I'm happy. I wish there were more of them, too!

Totally! It would be tres cool - Zelenka would look outraged in make-up and a big red nose, and John would be the belle of the ball with his DO NOT WANT hissy-fitting antics. *is feeling ev0l*

"biggest ever sky" by lilysaid and jchalo is an absolutely GORGEOUS circus AU that involves most of the cast of SGA, including Zelenka-the-Clown. It is a beautiful, lyric atmospheric work, and I highly recommend it!

This fic was searched for on [livejournal.com profile] sgastoryfinders so I of course thought of your post; just in case you missed it, here it is: Sometimes I think all my friends have been Imaginary. (http://glitterandlube.livejournal.com/502484.html) by [livejournal.com profile] glitterandlube (f-locked, you might need to ask to be friended for access). In which it's John's birthday, and the Marines go out of their way to get him novelty presents; he's not very amused. ^.^

*hides head in sand* I knew I should've double-checked the names in the post, but I was too busy squeeing over another new Princess Bunny fic. >.<

Also, hey, have you seen the penguin list? Or some of my own lists/projects? Clown fics list - totally for the win.

I require no credit, thanks or praise (although I will not refuse 'em, either ;-) ) for any of my reccing, but would ask you kindly to drop me a line when the list this done with a link (unless you announce it someplace public enough for me to see it anyway) so I can add it to the local list of lists. Er, link to that on the comm's sidebar; I haven't memorized the post's URL... yet. I'm looking forward to seeing your list!

(P.S. My icon can be the contemplation of anything John might contemplate... while staring in the general direction of Rodney's groin. *cough* This one, though, is pure hand!love - I love me Rodney!hand!love, and hand!pr0n too. *cough*blush*)

I saw it! Now I can't help but wonder who's gonna be the magically-inclined one, Sam or Dean? (Or Sheppard? *shudders*)

*shoves her crossed fingers in your face* Away from me, Satan! Er, I don't do HP. Haven't read the books, don't want to, will touch the occasional rare crossover only if it's really fandom-other-than-HP centric, or something. I have enough brain-matter eating fandoms at is it. >.<

Someone *cough*totally you*cough* should make a comparison list of just how many fandoms ATA and/or magical (HP) genes have leaked into... that would be one fun list!

Also, you in Japan with all the mangas and animes and basically stuff-of-a-geek-fangirl's-dreams - I'm soooo jealous right now.

LOL Good to know there are some dinosaurs out there to let us uppity brats know that there was fandom before the electronic age. ;-)

Seriously, my first "fannish" reading was a Batman stories book, and I grew up on comics my father liked; I only learnt of animes and mangas when I was well into my teens, and only liked them after that. ...Other than Toriton (Triton) and Granzort, which I grew up on. It's scary to remember that at one point in my childhood I knew as many English exclamation words as Japanese!
