[identity profile] rasah.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders

Hi,

Is there a tag for 'I couldn't get into Crossroads'?  I keep trying, but no luck...

So, I've checked the previous posts on this subject but they're over a year old and I have now read all of those fics (and they were all lovely)... I'm looking for fics where either John or Rodney cheat. If poss I'd like a happy ending but a well written sad one'd be cool too! I've only ever read one where Rodney cheats (Directional Theory) so it'd be cool if there's anymore of those?

I realise how dopey this sounds, but fics where the guilty party doesn't come across as a complete arse would be great!

Rating wise, anything goes - only looking for McKay/Sheppard though ;D

Thanks in advance guys!

(I really need to write up a full comm rule book in which among the most important rules will be that when you rec a site or page with recs, you *must* take the time to copy a fair number of recs from there into your comment. Just for the occasions when Crossroads or any other site doesn't feel like cooperating. ...Yeah, I'm just too short on time nowadays. Someday, sweet someday... ;-) )

In other news, when Crossroards fails, del.icio.us is still open for business: fics tagged McKay/Sheppard + cheating (http://del.icio.us/tag/mckay/sheppard+cheating).

Hey, no no no, I wasn't talking about *you* - I was referring to bring in a rule so commenters shouldn't just link to other rec pages or sites, but copy specific story recs from there into their post. Sorry I upset you, I really thought I was being clear...

Like, if you posted this same post without the Crossroads bit, and without mentioning reading the previous searches, you'd be bound to get one person reccing you Crossroads. That's where this rule would come it - it would be kosher to rec it only if they recced stories from there as well, and not just the site/tag. Hope that's a bit clearer than mud...

Crossroads has a habit of kicking up the SQL error message bucket from time to time, then it gets back to working full swing. *shrugs* I'm not too fond of it, as it lacks descriptions most of the time, but it *is* handy for reccing.

Oh, and del.icio.us is *easy*. /tag/ is the main thing - *everyone's* tags come up there. For different users there's /username/ then add the tagname. It's extra super because it has the '+' function, so you can combine tags: http://del.icio.us/debris_k/recs+stargate:atlantis like so. You can export/import your browser tag to it, thus have access to them online.

As for the other subject *facepalm* one of the reasons that rule has not been brought in yet is that often I *can't* rec any fics places I rec, thus breaking my own -unexsitent- rule.

Any day now, I will resign myself to following the letter of that rule, and then make that rule book... *looks out the window for flying piglets*
