Hi I have read a few good one's where John is presumed dead, missing in action or was stranded and Atlantis personnel never wanted to give up search for him and brought him back home. I'd love some long one's like that, any pairing with him is fine. Bonus if SGC sends people to help search for him when the IOA refuses and wants to declare him kia. Also any that have old flying buddies of his that have clearance to come help the better. I'd love long chaptered one's if at all possible and Sheppard!whump is awesome. Just basically protective Atlantis personnel, also slavery fics are fine read a few of those as well with this theme.

Oh, thank you. :) That title sounds familiar, so not sure if I have read or not. I've been reading non stop McShep since getting into Stargate not to long ago. I'll give it a go though regarless.

Summary: Captured, implanted with Wraith trackers, released to run and die ... such is Sheppard and McKay's fate. Now all they have to do is find each other before the Wraith find them.

My rec notes are: John doesn’t remember who he is, and Rodney is aware that his wilderness survival skills are woefully lacking, but each uses the boost of “What would (the other) do?” to forge ever onward toward a precarious escape.

There's whump for both of them, but John gets by far the worst end of the deal. And we don't find out until they're safe that, yes, Atlantis was looking for them, so it's not a big part of the story. Hope it suits you.

Thank you! I have this one on my reading list, but haven't got to it yet. I've been slowly collecting all the John runner stories, I'm tempted to make a long list of them on my LJ for future reference. I LOVE John as runner idea, especially if Ronon goes out of his mind knowing he is in the same situation he was in and helps out or goes off the grid to find and bring him back like John did for him.
