John with a disability

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for any and all fics that deal with John having a life altering disability. He could be blind, deaf, suffer from severe injuries leading to amputation, etc. I searched earlier entries in this journal, but the latest concerning this topic were posted in 2011 so I'm hoping there are some newer fics out there. Any pairing is fine, so is gen.

The second fic is actually a prequel, heh. I seem to always write series' backward.

Kwillads at fanfiction.net has written several stories about Sheppard dealing with disabling injuries.

In "Dumb Luck" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/5924841/1/Dumb-Luck) Sheppard is forced to leave the service when a shoulder injury prevents him from passing the physical.

Kwillads also has a five story series chronicling Sheppard's travails when an off-world accident severs his spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed. Those stories are:

You may have already seen this one, but there is the Fair Trade (http://archiveofourown.org/works/3979/chapters/5116) series. It's a McShep AU where John is serious injured during the Holland rescue and has a bad hip as a result. Bonus points, he also has a one-eyed cat.

All of the parts are posted on AO3 except for this one (http://esteefee.livejournal.com/180389.html). It's later in the series though, so you'll want to read everything on AO3 first.
