Awkward/normal mcshep, lab aus

Ok, this might seem a weird request.

I've been reading some fics recently, there seems to be a common theme in bdsm au fics or sentinel fics where John and Rodney are either alpha prime sentinel/guides, or the top most trained and awesome Dom/sub, which I find a little annoying after reading so many.

So, does anyone know of any fics, cannon or au, where they aren't?

Where Rodney is actually a genuinely godawful sub, he just doesn't get all the little things es supposed to do because hey, genius, no time fr stupid things like normal social conventions. But hey, John is just as bad for a Dom, so hey, they can make it work.

Where the two of them are not immediately the ultimate epically brilliant leaders of the sentinel Dom/sub au world, where they're sort of muddling through like they do in cannon, where they still have to take orders from those higher in the chain of command than themselves.

Failing any fics with the above theme, could I get some au fics where John is a security detail set to work at the Lab Rodney works at? Can be Area 51, sgc, complete au. There doesn't have to be some epic plot. Mcshep. Fem!mckay. Whatever you can find.

Rodney is a Dom who isn't all that interested in being spectacular because he has way too many other things to get done. It's a classic and really great.
