Best Fics

So I'm looking for THE fics. You know, the ones that are the first you'd recommend to someone who's just new to the fandom.

I'm introducing a friend to SGA and while I'm remembering the obvious ones like Written by the Victors I'm sure I'm forgetting a whole lot more. 

So please, rec me the best fics - any pairing, any genre, just the best written ones you keep coming back to.

Thant's why I was asking for rec. I have some things I really like, but not everyone will have the same taste as me and I didn't want to miss any good fics.

But I meant, do you know anything about your friend's reading habits? Have they read fanfic in other fandoms?
