So it's bee a while since I've delved into SGA fandom (well, not a while I guess) enough to know anything besides the oldies, and I was wondering if any of you know any fics that are recent and could make it into the classics list because they're just that good. Any pairing, or gen, ANYTHING, it doesn't matter.

Thank you.

I have such a hard time with requests like this. There are plenty of stories that are considered classics by some that I think are a complete and utter waste of bandwidth, and vice versa. :/

These are the stories I've bookmarked (http://www.diigo.com/user/gaffsie/sga). Maybe you'll find something you like there.

I'm pretty sure most of pir8fancier (http://pir8fancier.nfshost.com/SGA_Index.html)'s stuff was written after the show was already over. Maybe look at some of that.

Check out the under-construction [livejournal.com profile] sga_guide maybe?

If you like non-McShep slash you could take a gander here (http://somehowunbroken.livejournal.com/8521.html#cutid1)

Some of the SGA Reverse Big Bang stories were good.

Dreaming I'm Alive (http://sgareversebang.dreamwidth.org/35626.html) is a very cool "John turns into a bug again" story. Very interesting aliens. Look at the art that went with it, because the story is about the coolest thing anyone could have done with that.

Warrior (sgareversebang.dreamwidth.org/36516.html) is a John character study, but the voices of everyone are right on, plus cool original culture. It's McShep, from Rodney's first drunken pass, but mostly about John's head. Very cool art for this one. Set season 1/2.

Desert Rose (http://sgareversebang.dreamwidth.org/34318.html) is fun. AU-ish, but not really. "John is a downed Hurricane pilot in WWII, is rescued by Rodney who's tracking strange energy readings in the Sahara. And in another life, their story makes another John and Rodney unwilling Atlantis celebrities."

That should keep you busy for a while!
