I've a short laundry-list of requests....
Request Part 1 -- Favorite Remixes:
I'm looking for your favorite Remixes - you know... the ones that are just as good as the original story, if not better for the added change-in-view. I'm not looking for any particular pairing; although, I am partial to McShep pairing or gen!fic -- please, label pairings where applicable.
Four of my favorite Remixes (in no particular order):
"Tells (Whispers in the Dark mix)" by
"Necessary Things (settling the balance)" by
"Next of Kin (What I Won't Do For Love Remix)" by
"One Peace At A Time (One Damn Thing After Another)" by
Request Part 2 -- Storytelling / Oral Traditions:
I'm looking for stories that show how the Pegasus Galaxy remembers the people that are still living & those that have been eradicated by the Wraith. I'm not looking for any pairings in particular, but if there are pairings, please label where necessary.
***Addendum: Any stories that have one of the characters telling a story to active listeners -- the stories that become or can become legend, whether involving Pegasus Galaxy natives or those in Atlantis.***
The stories I've read that illustrate this:
"Children of Lantean Design" by Xela -- In Pegasus Galaxy, they have a Memory Keeper, whose job it is to remember all the stories, history, etc. that people share with him or her so that they will not be forgotten. *this is admittedly just a small part of the story, as it's a BigBang story* (McShep pairing)
"The Storyteller" by
"Speaker of the Dead" by
**Link to my comment below, which has entries applicable to the Addendum...**
Thanks in advance for any & all contributions!

Date: 2010-06-30 01:53 pm (UTC)Thank you! You know, every time I read these two, I keep feeling like there's another story to the mix, but I'm pretty sure there isn't -- it's just that I was on a theme reading bender, so the stories sometimes melt into one, if you know what I mean. :D

Between searching my bookmarks, which invariably ends in me re-reading what I've bookmarked because I have zero resistance, for a particular story I wanted to post up here & reading the contributions here & also the results of story searches at

Date: 2010-06-30 11:18 pm (UTC)"Keep the Home Fires Burning" (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=5540) by SylvanWitch -- Satedans take an item of the deceased and leave it where they were most alive / happiest for someone to recognize as a 'remembrance' & pick up to make their own stories to go with the item they picked up. It's a bit of a blurb, with an exchange between John & Ronon, which is also the pairing for the story.
