Daniel in Atlantis, John's ATA Gene

Hi, I posted the following requests at stargate_search and they suggested I try here as well.

I'm looking for the following:
1) Daniel going to Atlantis, either by himself or with the rest of the SG-1 team. Bonus points if the city reacts to him having acendend.

2) Fics that focus on Sheppard's ATA gene, his connection with the city or how the city "loves" him. I'm more looking for how he uses it in some way for either his benefit or the benefit of the expedition, rather than his feelings about having the special connection.

3) Episode tags to "The Lost Tribe", preferably focusing on Daniel recovering or Daniel/Rodney banter. I have already looked at sga_episodefic.

Gen is prefered (or at least nothing that has a lot of 'romance').

Daniel and Jack both come to Atlantis at different times. And Rodney gets very cranky that the city is turning cartwheels for Daniel. One of the prompts was friends for John & Rodney and she hit that perfectly. I don't know if this one would be gen enough though. It's really really long, with lots of plotty exploring Atlantis, with the pairings sort of incidental to the story.

For 1, not gen, but the various pairings are only part of the plot, the very entertaining Where Eagles Dare... We Will Be Playing Poker a Hundred Miles in the Opposite Direction (http://01100100.fanfib.org/fanfiction/sga/eagles.html) by danvers, ~19,100 words. SG-1 comes to Atlantis. And annoys everyone.

For 3, did you find this one yet? Talk Amongst Yourselves (http://archiveofourown.org/works/23376) by deltacephei. It's not a Lost Tribe tag but a First Contact missing scene with fun Daniel/Rodney banter.

I know you said that you checked out sga_episodefic & I think deltacephei might be one of the people that runs that Community, so maybe you've read the following suggestion:

This has some fun Daniel/Rodney banter, is an episode tag / missing scene for the episode "First Contact," which was the one just before the episode you referenced. And... it's gen!fic.

For #1 (Daniel in Atlantis w/reaction from Atlantis) --

The 4th story in tarlanx's Sentience series (http://davidhewlett.tarlanx.com/fiction/viewseries.php?seriesid=9) -- "Of Time and Distant Stars" (http://davidhewlett.tarlanx.com/fiction/viewstory.php?sid=81) -- covers Daniel in Atlantis, and it recognizing him as something 'other' - he gets 'special' privileges that other non-gene carriers do not with regards to interfacing / communicating with Atlantis. Be warned that this series is very much McShep & Jack/Daniel slash pairings; there is no 'glossing over' as sex-having is a bit of the plot-pusher in the beginning.

I just reread Know this and be Free (http://blazingcaepa.livejournal.com/656.html) by merrycaepa is a beautiful short fic that is Daniel/Teyla, but the focus is Daniel in Atlantis rather than anything remotely shmoopy romantic. The fic is set in the AU of Synecdochic's Broken Wings universe (well worth a read in its own right)

The Retrograde (http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/seriesindex.htm) series fits #1. Daniel isn't the focus of any story per se, but he has some really great lines, and the way the Atlantis members react to his presence is pretty hilarious, although Rodney is not impressed. :-)
