[mod] Addendum to the 'obey the rules or else' rule

From now on if you're caught by a mod willfully and deliberately ignoring the rules and or modly warnings (the latter should be preferably addressed within a day, two if you're really, honestly too busy) the punishment shall be as follows:

You lose your posting privileges for one month*.

(*Or until such time as the mods remember to reinstall them or you remind them nicely, as we honestly do have better things to do than play small gods, be it here or anywhere else on lj.)

What this means is that if you're caught breaking rules in a really unremorseful manner, such as having your mistake pointed out, acknowledging it but doing nothing to correct it, or plain simply ignoring the whole thing and the warnings you get and carrying on as if you're none the wiser, you'll get whacked with The Modly Stick^R - now with Super Posting Ability Removing powers^(TM).

So, yet once again, we mods here ask you to: A) read the rules; and B) obey them.

P.S. Yes, you should still tag your posts as well.


Questions, comments, complaints, mobs with pitchforks and torches, etc. - see what our rules have to say about that, or just catch a modly post and comment to your mod of choice.

Quick question to the Lil Gods. :)

I haven't posted anything lately, but when I do post and tags are required I normally post and then click edit tags because its simply easier for me personally to figure out which tags actually apply that way. Is that all right?

As far as I'm personally concerned, that's great - any way the tags get added is good in my book. :-)

Though it does mean that those who 'track' the tags won't get notified if the tag is added later, but as lj is imperfect enough as it is I for one am not going to raise a stink over this.

LJ's lag time for change notifications is the reason I wished to clarify as a "just in case" measure. It's simply the polite thing to do and I've found it causes less trouble in the long run if I simply ask before hand. :D

I do that too. Only because misspelling is my MO and even a capitalization of a word will create a new tag.

But not if the mods are savvy and have turned off the ability of members to make new tags. :-) In our comm only existing tags can be added, so have no fear, tag away!
