Aren't you getting tired of mod posts?
Mar. 25th, 2010 11:37 amI know I've said this before and it's part of the rules on our user info, but apparently it bears repeating: please refrain from posting your searches in bold letters or underlined. This community exists specifically to look for stuff; there's no need to emphasise exactly what you're looking for. If you feel your entry is getting too long to read easily, try to summarise instead of underlining random keywords.
Thank you.
ETA: You can of course emphasise a word or two. Just don't overdo it.

Date: 2010-03-25 11:07 am (UTC)Look, I'm not saying I'm going to delete a post because one word's been italicised for emphasis. But formatting entries like this because you want to put emphasis on certain words (even if that emphasis appears to be somewhat random) is one surefire way to GET MY BLOOD PRESSURE UP.
See what I mean?

See, I'm trying to be good--no italics, bolding or underlining. (I don't know how to make bullet points ;-)

Date: 2010-03-26 12:53 am (UTC)"Omg, why can't everyone please use their post title to summarize? Wouldn't a post clearly titled 'HEA-only long fluffy McShep' and another titled 'short angsty McShep, HEA optional' theoretically be more likely to get very different results than if they were both titled 'good McShep please' -- whether or not there are paragraphs of additional description of what's wanted in the body?"
Or I might say "You mods are awesome, running the comm and posting what I consider very polite reminders! I can't imagine you aren't sometimes tempted to change the comm header to 72-point red flashing type saying 'READ THE RULES BEFORE YOU POST!'..." (which I swear I've seen somewhere except for maybe the blinking)
But you guys are too kind for that :) and I'm feeling nice* today, so I won't say those things.
