Daniel in Atlantis...
Jul. 14th, 2009 12:10 amI've read several Daniel-in-Atlantis fics, but I have yet to see one where Daniel is actually there to be in charge. WHAT. That is a terrible shame! Daniel would love being in Atlantis, and John would probably love having him in charge because he'd just be like "what? sure, whatever" half the time. And the scientists would love it because he'd be like "you found an interesting and potentially dangerous artifact? AWESOME, let's see what it does!" And the SGC would be like "whatever, weird kids, we're glad you're in a whole other galaxy destroying shit instead of here." Perfection on all angles!
I'm far too amused by this and refuse to believe I'm the only one who's thought of this. Does it exist? Point me to it, y'all!
(and, okay, I'll take any Daniel in Atlantis recs, too. those are still pretty awesome.)

Date: 2009-07-14 05:37 am (UTC)Now this one is just funny: Where Eagles dare: http://01100100.fanfib.org/fanfiction/sga/eagles.html Slash is implied--somewhat slashy (Nothing graphic at all--it's very PG/PG-13). SG-1 (with
Cameron, Vala, Daniel, Teal'c) get sent to Atlantis because the current Earth administration wants rid of them. SG1 is so perfect it rubs the Atlantis SGA (John, Rodney, Weir, Ronon, Teyla) the wrong way.......really, it's hilarious. I LOL every time I read it.

Date: 2009-07-15 08:33 pm (UTC)Still, I'm with you: there have to be stories where Daniel is in charge of the whole place... and it's probably people who are primarily fans of SG-1 and secondarily fans of SGA who've written them. I haven't seen any like that, and I've read a LOT of SGA fanwork, but not a lot of SG-1...
