Hi, my last request didn't go so well so back with two new ones.

I'm looking for stories where Rodney is forced to survive on his own, the longer the better. The two best examples I've read are:
The Great Doctor McKay by mi_ya_ri
But Never the Nights by Lavvyan

I'm also interested in fic where Elizabeth is not a very good leader - not evil, just inept - and where Rodney plays a big role in the story.

McKay/Sheppard always preferred but I'll read anything.

There is also a fic where there is a new enemy that Atlantis names the Hal. The Hal can make zpms and Rodney and John get into their base somehow. I thought I had it bookmarked but I can't find it. Maybe somebody else knows it. Elizabeth is so worn down that she pretty much lets John run the show (although she thinks she still does).

For your "Elizabeth as weak leader" request, I Feel the Earth Move (http://janusglance.livejournal.com/2006/07/21/) by janusglance is one of the best stories I can think of.

It's John & Rodney friendship, not slash, a genre I normally avoid. But even though McShep is my OTP, in this story they are both fully occupied dealing with a months-long crisis and it's believable that they're simply too busy surviving to think about anything else. Their friendship is satisfying enough because they're each aware of the other as the only one he can fully trust. Enjoy!
