thematic list: wingfic

Because compiling thematic lists is a great way to procrastinate while still giving yourself the illusion of accomplishing something, I made a list of all SGA wingfic I could find (actually I've included fanart I came across too, but I'm sure I missed a lot of those, because I don't bookmark art as much myself).

What I didn't count as wingfic for this list were stories in which characters are transformed into flying creatures (normal or magical animals such as birds, bats, or dragons), but in case of borderline scenarios, e.g. transformation into human-like but winged creatures such as fairies, demons or gargoyles, the list is inclusive rather than exclusive. Just not anything that would better fit on the various animal transformation lists.

drat. All the wingfic requests/lists haven't included the wingfic I want to re-read! ARGH!!! I can remember the whole thing, but want to read it again. John is an Archangel, required to marry Rodney by prophesy and he's in command while the land is hit by a plague, and he and Rodney are in charge of finding the cure.

It's Archangel (http://wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=13702) by czarinakathryn. John is an Archangel, and everyone else too is some kind of angel. Wing!fic for all :) McShep. And there is singing!

thanks for finding it. I had just added it with the note that everybody has wings, but that's not true? I just skimmed and it seemed at least Elizabeth and Lorne have wings as well, and Sumner had too?

Just posted this one on ff.net. It's gen, hurt/comfort/fantasy. Kinder To Their Own by Sterenyk Strey. Complete. It's also on sheppard_hc for the flashfic pic challenge, and there it includes the prompt photo. A kind reader told about this wing-fic list, and I see you're okay with either authors or readers adding to the list. Feels like I'm pimping big time, but if people like wing-fics, especially whumped Fairy!John, then they might like this one. Summary: Rod'n-i supports and comforts a still healing Jo'on. Thank you for pointing your wingfic out! I hope to keep the list as complete as possible so it really helps a lot if authors point out their own wingfic. I've updated the list and it now includes yours.
