 I've just stumbled across this lovely story by Sheafrotherdon http://community.livejournal.com/sticksandsnark/24832.html where Rodney is learning Athosian but is hampered by the gate technology . Can anyone recommend any other fics focusing on any of the characters learning to speak or read other languages (Pegasus or Earth) or how the gate or other technology works as a translation device?

Hi.
I've been reading a lot of fics lately were Rodney is better/smarter thank Sam. He saves the day, that sort of thing. Does anybody know of any fics thats the other way around? Where Sam is better/smarter than Rodney? Where she is the one who saves the day?

And can anybody rec any bashing fics? The character being bashed must not be Carter, Weir, Cadman, or Teyla. Cause I really like them and don't want to see them bashed. Sadly, they are the once that you most often find staring in bashing fics.

McShep with Other Established Relationship

I just reread Waltz Tango Foxtrot by out_there, and I am hankering for more McShep stories where Rodney is in a relationship with someone (male or female, OC or not) when he meets John, and ends up having to choose between the two. The angstier the better, especially with John angst in there too. I'm not really looking for ones where he's already broken up with person, but where there is an active person in his life that he has to decide to leave. I know there's got to be more like this out there, and I'm pretty sure I've read several, I just can't think of any right now. Oh, and happy McSheppy endings, please. :-P I like angst, but only if it resolves.

Meeting with AU characters

Its a little difficult to explain, but I'll give it a shot. I am looking for stories where either characters from this universe travel to other universes or other universe people come here. The specific part of is that I am looking for McKay centered fics. Where the differences between the two McKays are apparent or the other universe doesn't have one but really wishes they did because he is awesome. i don't want any stories where the people from this universe say, i wish our Rodney was like that?
