Meeting with AU characters

Its a little difficult to explain, but I'll give it a shot. I am looking for stories where either characters from this universe travel to other universes or other universe people come here. The specific part of is that I am looking for McKay centered fics. Where the differences between the two McKays are apparent or the other universe doesn't have one but really wishes they did because he is awesome. i don't want any stories where the people from this universe say, i wish our Rodney was like that?

I have a particular weakness for these.

The Light of a Fading Sun (http://friendshipper.laylalawlor.com/fadingsun.shtml) starts off dark and somewhat depressing, and at first you'll wonder why I've rec'd it: somehow, without quite noticing it as it happened, Team Sheppard began falling apart. Doranda is the final straw in an already strained relationship. Then Rodney and John from the canon universe show up, turning the AU on its ear...

In Mirror Mirror on the Wall (http://www.davidhewlett.co.uk/fiction/viewstory.php?sid=35) by Tarlan, a John from what is ostensibly more canon a universe falls into one where he is about to marry Sam Carter; and Rodney isn't even in the picture. Fun regardless of the two-dimensional Sam. (Despite the fact that John is the POV character here, things really focus on Rodney.)

Cross Product (http://quasar273.livejournal.com/1871.html) has Rodney as a two-bit scientist at the SGC rather than as head of department in Atlantis where he belongs. John falls into this universe by looking through a quantum mirror; now he has to convince others at the SGC he's for real, because in this AU he never joined the military...

One of my favorites of these, though, is Madison's Second Fiddle (http://www.area52hkh.net/asm/madison/secondfi.php). (Madison REALLY likes to write this type of fic!) AU-Rodney meets Atlantis-John - my favorite. Rodney works (poorly) at a university, and is saved from a mugging by John. He slowly learns about his AU-self, and inexorably moves closer to being the same man.

Here's an odd one that sort-of fulfills your request; it's another one of my favorites, called And Be One Traveler (http://doom.unrealwords.com/doom2/), in which Rodney meets, er, sort-of-Rodney. This may or may not be f-locked.

I loved these, they were great. I thought of a fic that would go perfectly here, but I can't think of the name. It's Mckay centered and its kinda like the daedalus variations. Instead of a ship jumping realities, its Mckay, and he has to get back to his realty before his cells breakdown or something(its been a minute since I've read this). Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
