I was wondering if there were any McShep stories where circumstances force John to depend on his ruthless side for an extended period of time -- not possessed or drugged or out of his mind, but dealing with a dangerous situation or whatever -- where at some point Rodney becomes afraid of him.  A plus if John is aware of Rodney's fear and another plus if Rodney comes to accept this side of John.  I would love to read some stories of Rodney having to deal with Black-Ops John or Commando John and learning to love his scary-dangerous bad boy anyway.

EDIT: The responses I've received are great reading and I am enjoying them!  What I'm really looking for, though, is stories where Rodney is afraid of John because John goes all black-ops scary in response to a dangerous situation; any out there like that?
