[mod] of tagging and vacationing mods
Aug. 5th, 2008 08:12 amHi y'all,
This is a heads up to let you all know that yours truly, the friendly neighborhood tagging mod, will be away from the 'net for the next 2 weeks (starting 15 minutes from now - yikes!). While I'm gone,
lavvyan is your goddess, obey her in all things set in the comm rules and you won't get pocked with the modly stick. :-)
While I'm away the tagging of posts will be up to you all; please help fellow comm members out by tagging their posts - remember, all members can add tags to all posts, but only mods can delete already added tags - so tag wisely.
The posts should be tagged something like this: after posting your request, on the screen with your post's options choose 'edit entry tags', then from the list of tags, from top to bottom, choose all the applicable tags.
The tags should reflect:
- whether your post is character related (applies focus to only a single character rather than a pairing, genre or theme) or genre (anything other than char. rel., basically)
- if you'd prefer gen, het, slash or femmeslash responses (you might be OK with all, but always think of what others looking up your post later will be finding), and you can also now choose whether you want media or RPF/RPS stuff rather than regular fanfics
- the main character(s) and/or pairing(s), if applicable
- the main basic themes your post narrows down to - if none apply or the tag you want doesn't exist yet, choose miscellaneous.
(Ignore the funky characters/symbols at the beginning of some of the tags, they're only there to make sure the tags are in some semblance of logical order.)
Think of the tags as the most basic summary of a post - that by looking at them anyone should be able to guess what kind of recs wanted.
Hope that was clearer than mud. I'm off now, so all comments, complaints, suggestions and such should be aimed
lavvyan's way. Make us both proud and tag the posts well, yeah? :-) Otherwise, hope you have a great summer! also applicable to winter in the other hemisphere >.<
