John sees/visits his father

I was wondering if anyone can point me towards some stories where John goes home to see his dad.  It could be he goes home because he is injured or just to visit or to try and fix things between him and his dad.  Anything really. I've been craving John and Father stories.

I've read The Sky is no Less Blue, and Going Home and I loved them both.  I think that's what really got me stuck on this.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

And since I'm unfamiliar with the two stories you mentioned, is any version of John's father okay, or do you only want the canon version we found out about in "Outcast?"

I'm good with anything. Any pairing is fine, no pairing is fine. I'm not picky :) And any version of John's father is fine. I haven't finished watching SGA yet and haven't seen Outcast yet so I don't really know the cannon version. I'm not worried about spoilers either so that's not a problem.

The sky is not less blue is about John being blind. He goes home because he doesn't really have a choice. It's a great story, it made me cry a few times and made me laugh at others.

Going Home is about John reconnecting with his father. There is a lot of angst and Shep Whump in it. It's a team fic as well.

Both are really good stories.

haha, yea Dom, that was me. That was one of the first SGA fics I ever read, and I'm pretty sure it was you who sent me over to Sheppard h/c where I found it in the first place.
