thematic list: Wraith/Iratus bug transformations

Since it seems to be such a popular genre request, I decided to compile a proper thematic list for stories relating to Wraith/Iratus bug transformations. The majority is Bug!John, but I have included sections for stories in which another human character is transformed into a Wraith or Iratus bug hybrid, as well as a section for stories dealing with the reverse, i.e. Wraith transformed into humans. It lists both temporary and permanent transformations, physical as well as mental changes, and canon compliant episode tags as well as AUs.

Currently there are about forty stories listed, but I'd love add any I missed. I did not include those Conversion tags that are set completely after John reverted, unless there were at least some remaining transformation related aftereffects.

I have one where John is turned into a bug pre-story (and has mostly changed back by the end of the fic). Does that count?

I remember that. I recced it for my AU recs, but I'm a bit spotty on the details, I admit... (I read too much fanfic to keep it all straight in my head. *g*) Was he a bug because of Wraith/Iratus bug stuff? Then it fits, even as AU and if the tranformation happened pre-story, I'm just not incuding Bug!John stories where he's insect-like because of other causes, like I know a couple of X-Men fusions with Bug!John for example, I didn't include those.

He was bitten by an Iratus bug that had somehow been modified by the Ancients to turn someone into an Iratus bug (why? Who knows? Those wacky ancients.)

And I feel your pain...since starting my own rec comm, I can't keep track of anything anymore...

For me it's not so much that I rec, as that I read a couple of fanfic stories every day, depending on length of course, but I tagged and bookmarked well over a thousand last year alone...

It's Sheppard/Dex (established relationship), NC-17, and part of her "Revelation" series (but works as a stand-alone story). Ronon helps John as he sheds his skin after Conversion.

It's been added, and looking over your list, I recall another Wraith-ish!Rodney fic, not the most reccable one, but fitting the bill, I think. Will dig it out of the bowels of WraithBait for you.

Oh, and I meant to ask - the Wraith transformation fics, are those ex-Wraith turn back to Wraith, or do you want Wraith-to-humans as well? I can't forget the wonderful crack that is Rodney talking the Wraith into going human for the GAY SEX. And I really wish I was just making that up. ;-D

The last section is for Wraith turning human at some point, like it says in the intro: "[...] in reverse a Wraith is made human." regardless of whether they'll revert, as I don't distinguish between temporary and permanent transformations in any section.

And I vaguely remember the gay sex one...

The other one I can't track down, as WraithBait's search engine is wacky and busted up to boot. I might post a search for it, if I fail totally at finding it on my own.

Yep, that the one! Great job finding it; I remembered it was by one of those writers, but couldn't find it among Mystic's or Orithain & Rina's stories...
