Bottom!Rodney, Vulnerable!Rodney

Hi everyone. I've been browsing the fandom primers and rec lists looking for those high-quality SGA fandom cornerstone epic fics - and finding a LOT more bottom!John than bottom!Rodney. Then I realized that none of the fic lists I've seen identify fics by sexual dynamic (character bottom vs. top, or even a 50-50 switch).

Is there a list that identifies the fandom's bottom!Rodney fics? Are there any particular authors who write in this category? I'm looking for:

- McShep pairing (although I'm open to other Rodney slash pairings)
- Bottom Rodney (switching is fine if Rodney is the primary bottom)
- Vulnerable Rodney (Rodney-centric physical or emotional h/c, whump, angst, woobie; Rodney needing to be taken care of; gen fics included)
- Any rating, from G to PWP. Kink welcome.
- Any plot genre, AU included

I would appreciate any recs or links you might have. Thank you!

I love bottom!Rodney and even have a tag for it on my pinboard. Some of my older bookmarks haven't been re-read and re-tagged, but that should be a good start!

Oh my goodness, you are lovely! I tried searching around on Delicious for bottom!Rodney tags, but the site doesn't work too well and a lot of lists seem to be defunct. This is really wonderful, thank you!

Yeah, a lot of fandom migrated away from Delicious after they changed everything and a lot of the features of the site broke.

I do have a hurt/comfort tag, but I have no way to differentiate between John being hurt and Rodney.

Have you heard about Crossroads? Here is the hurt!Rodney tag, filtered by McKay/Sheppard. It's obviously by no means comprehensive, but there's lots there. You should explore the rest of the site, too :)

Ooh, that is great - thank you! Oh wow, just looking at the bottom! tags - 148 for Rodney vs. 488 for John. Looks like the fandom definitely leans that way (I kinda had the feeling). Your pinboard is fantastic though - twice as many b!R links as Crossroads and your tags are super thorough. Thank you for putting all that together! It's really exciting to see people still active in this fandom :D

You're very welcome :) Yeah, sometimes I get very sad at how the fandom leans toward bottom!John, but it is what it is, and I clearly have my own little stockpile of bottom!Rodney to read XD I'm glad you like my pinboard, I work hard on it and am very proud of it, lol.

Keira Marcos writes fantastic McShep stories and it's mostly bottom Rodney but they do take turns on bottom. You will have to subscribe to her website to read the stories but you will enjoy them.
