[identity profile] mcparrot.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders

There are so many significant dates for things that happened in both World Wars that I started thinking some of my favourite prisoner of war/escape stories from my youth.

And then, as you do, I started thinking about John being a pilot and how he would have coped in say, The Great Escape.

So, please rec me ANY war stories with our team. John can be a pilot, or not. Rodney can be a scientist, or not. Teyla would make a great spy. Ronon would have been an amazing guerilla type soldier. Don't restrict yourself to the World Wars - I'm just interested in any war stories out there.

And as a bonus, here is one I've found already. Long Ago and Far Away, by the wonderful[livejournal.com profile] kristen999, set in the Pacific in WWII.

I'm a McShep fan, but not too worried about pairings, as long as it's believable. Not worried about rating either.

Thanks all.
