Ancient doodads

Hi.

I'm struggling for something new to read and wondered if anyone could recommend any fic that contained the discovery of Ancient equipment/machines/doodads.  I'm thinking of thing like ZPMs or the drone making equipment or anything man(ancient)-made which is the subject or is heavily involved in the story.  I love the stories where the expedition find a ZPM making factory, or a transport beam (in the Little John stories I think).  Apart from my request a couple of years ago for ZPMs, I can't find any reference to this topic.

Slash for preference but gen is fine. I'm not bothered about het or femslash thanks.

I have a few I think but the team discovering an ancient machine that does something like the ascension machine is quite a common trope so would you like ones where they deal specifically with the tech rather than the effects it has, like the ascension machine or the one where they find a machine which changes probabilities?
I'm not promising I can help you find what you want, but I wanted to narrow it down so I could try give you something.

I think I'd like a mixture of both!

One thing that frustrates me about the series in cannon is that they rarely get to use any of the magnificent tech that they had hoped to find in Atlantis originally. For example in Ladyholder's 'Slow Slide to Indifference' they discover a weapons factory which fires on Daedalus and much of the story revolves around what they can do with the DaVinchi (which they name it), or the natal units they find in several tics. They actually use some of the tech they find and it works, unlike, for example, the nano lab/virus which is just bad.

Does that make sense?

I always feel like it is such a cop-out when I say "here is my delicious, have fun!" but, well, I do have an Ancient Tech (https://delicious.com/#janeaverage/theme%3Asg%3Aancient.tech) tag, which indicates that those wacky Ancients have provided at least an important plot point, some more cracktastically than others. But on the more, I don't know, involved side:

Of course Keira Marcos has The Lantean Legacy (http://keiramarcos.com/fan-fiction-index/stargate-atlantis-fan-fiction/the-lantean-legacy/), with Atlantis as a sort of organic/AI... hybrid?... which includes a lot of technology.

purna has Three Graces (http://purna.livejournal.com/4394.html), where they find an Ancient ship that imprints on Rodney.

quasar273 wrote the excellent Criss-Cross 'Verse (http://archiveofourown.org/series/3809). On reflection I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, but there is a Quantum-Mirror-like bit of Ancient tech that switches our John's consciousness with another universe's John. It provides the impetus for a long, involved story of both Johns.

And, it is not nearly as impactful as a ZPM factory, but wax_jism's Consistently Weird (http://www.waxjism.org/pickle/stories/roboclaw.html) was very eloquent about the gift and curse of Ancient tech.
