I made a post over at sgastoryfinders and found the story I was looking for, but I had (I thought casually!) mentioned the shortage of Carson/Teyla 'ship fic and especially Carson/Teyla babyfic (though really I was just looking for the one, and I found it!) and I was sort of forcefully threatened encouraged to post my request here.

If anyone knows of any, I'd be interested to read them, I suppose. I just kind of feel like I've committed a major social gaffe and my mother's making me ask to be polite, or something, though.

You are certainly not obligated to post a request here if you don't want to. This comm does believe in free will. :-)

As for your experiences with your post at sgastoryfinders, I did try to warn you about that - the comm has a strict "only specific fic searches" policy (which I'm sure is described in better detail in their profile), for various logical and very and practical reasons. The existence of comms such as this one make it easy for them to be able to enforce that rule, and not leave anyone hanging, I guess.

What I'm saying is, as long as you follow the rules, your posts will be welcome wherever you post. That said, you are always free to delete your post(s) should you feel like it.

Though I hope you won't, since Carson and Teyla's babies are sure to be too cute for words and thus certainly worth reading about.

The out-struck "threatened" was an attempt a humor. It really isn't easy in text!

I really did only want that one specific story, and was just commenting on the general lack (because I was thinking it might have been easier to find if there was a central location for, say, Carson/Teyla fic) but several people -- not all of the modly persuasion, I don't think -- jumped and said to post here and I just really didn't want to make anyone else mad at me!

The reason I said I'd be open to others was in case people had a story in mind that didn't quite fit what I'd said, as I was unsure about the details.
