General Sheppard stories

Hi everyone,
I was just thinking about one of my favorite stories, "Last Man Reshuffle." In that story we found out that Sheppard was made a general and he and Rodney lived happily ever after. It made me want to read more stories where John ends up attaining the rank of general and he and Rodney end up together as they age. Is there anything out there like this? Strife on the way is just fine, as long as it has a happy ending. Thanks

Thank you for responding. You are correct it is lovely- unfortunately I've already read this one. Actually, that's a bad way to put it because it was not unfortunate at all that I read it (actually about 3 different times!), it was fantastic. I hope to find more like this.

Love this paragraph: When they first got together, Rodney feared his heart would burst, because surely nothing so frail as flesh could possibly contain all the love he felt for John. It never happened, even though the love has just kept growing through the years, spreading inward and outward, exponential. Love, Rodney has concluded, is the only thing in the universe that defies the laws of physics.
