Romance, Excitment and Adventure

I've just been re-reading the excellent WMHB by Keira Marcos and I was wondering if there are any other stories out there in a similar vein.  Happy and successful John and Rodney fighting bad guys and being awesome in their own right.  Where John really takes care of Rodney and Rodney uses his brilliance to solve everything.  It could be Pegasus or Earth based, I don't mind, but a nice 'feelgood' story to chase away the winter blues would be great please, and the longer the better.

Thank you for this recommendation. I've seen this series but didn't bother with it as it's a WIP and I tend to ignore those in case they get abandoned but I'll have a look at it.

I don't usually read wip's either but I found early on with this one that the journey is worth it, even if it is eventual abandon. The writing is compelling.
