Outsiders POV ala Rock Happy

So I just read Rock Happy (can be found on AO3) and I'm in desperate need of other five like it. Where almost all the focus or pov is on Random Gate Team 6 or Joe Schmoe Scientist with limited interaction with characters we know from the show. Minor exception being Lorne because I adore him and think he should be in every sga fic ever.

Second, this is an old classic that I love to read with five outsider POVs on Sheppard:

Five times John’s men were proud to have him as a CO (http://smilebackwards.livejournal.com/19718.html). I love that one and keep coming back to it. I'm pretty sure I know a couple other fics like that, I just can't find them currently... I did some OC fic, too but not sure if any of them fit your description :S

I generally adore any story that doesn't focus on characters we already know from the show. So please, by all means link me to your oc fic.

I think Rock Happy was brilliantly executed. I don't know the crossover show the author used, but it didn't matter as the characters were fleshed out well enough that I didn't need to.

This both does and doesn't fit your request, but since you like Rock Happy and I love these I think you might too: basically everything Domenika Marzione / miss_porcupine has written in SGA fandom. A lot of it is Lorne-and-his-team centric, she has wonderful OCs, and it's kind of focused on the military side of Atlantis in the same way Rock Happy is. I am just reading Rock Happy now and as I've just said to the OP, I am loving it. I hadn't come across it before seeing this post, so I've got a treat in store for the rest of the afternoon. I'll comment properly at AO3 when I'm done.

The closest thing to it, in style and content, is Scherryzade's Newcomers series (http://archiveofourown.org/series/2408); it has both a strong team of military characters and frequent, important, outsider POV.
