Rodney POV

I'm looking for stories that are from Rodney's POV and where Rodney could be described as filling the role of an unreliable narrator.

I'd prefer either gen or John/Rodney slash, but I'd accept other genres as well.

I have a few, all Gen, that I think are close, by varying degrees, to what you're after.

One Of Those Days All Week (http://sga-flashfic.livejournal.com/845460.html) by Mad Maudlin is hour-by-hour and starts fine but then Rodney gets captured and drugged. All gets a bit "Lucy in the Sky" after that!

There is Fear of Failure (http://sga-flashfic.livejournal.com/589390.html) by ameretrifle where an AU Rodney's cheese has definitely slid off his cracker. His POV practically has a manic giggle to it. Author rated it as having "sheer wrongness"!

Cold Comforts (http://sga-flashfic.livejournal.com/696563.html) by sholio has Rodney stuck in a crevasse and getting increasingly hypothermic. As he becomes confused he doesn't realise what is happening but the reader, and John listening from the surface, do.

Finally Without a Paddle (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5020850/1/Without_a_Paddle) by Greywolf Lupous has Rodney get sick while running from angry natives and not noticing. By the time it comes to a peak he has practically no idea of what is going on. Which considering the fact he compares John to pudding and also a dog is probably a good thing!

I wrote one of these, but it's mpreg, which I know is not everyone's cup of tea. John and Rodney are both somewhat unreliable narrators. The first part of the fic is from John's POV and he sees his relationship with Rodney as being practical, for the purposes of procreation. In the middle of the fic we switch to Rodney's POV which is that he and John have been slowly falling in love. At some point the realize that neither of them has an accurate understanding of the relationship and they have to resolve it.
