Tempered By The Battle's Heat by tielan is a Sheppard & Mitchell friendship firefighter AU.

The Towers On The Heights Reach To Heav'n's Own Blue by minervacat is about John and Cam becoming friends via email. (There's a sequel which is definitely not gen, but this story can be treated strictly as a friendship fic.)
