The one and only "Secret Lives of Scientists" by Julad. Rodney and Radek, first season. They have enough, in the end.

Alright, so it has transformed female!Rodney, but he stays in character so give it a chance! It's well written, longish and cute. It's not physically slash, but the author does a great job of handling the off balance dynamic of a relationship between two emotionally male characters. Worth the read in my opinion.

Thank you very much! I'm okay with gender-bender - the most important thing is that the characters are actually in character! I'm all about the emotions and complex relationships, so the slash part is not actually a prerequisite. Thanks again for the rec!

crimsonquills (http://www.crimsonquills.com/fic/stargateasslantis/index.shtml) has a few good McKay/Beckett fics that I really like.

My personal favourites for rodney/ronon are here (https://pinboard.in/u:csad/t:sga/t:rodney%252fronon/) (or here (http://delicious.com/csad/rodney/ronon)). Depending on personal preferences, you'll like some perhaps less than others, but I consider them all some of the best of the pairing.
And while No More Running (http://blackchaps.livejournal.com/225748.html) (alternate link (http://blackchaps.wordpress.com/sga-no-more-running/)) is gen with a slight McShep slant, it's also a must read for the Rodney/Ronon friendship and one of my absolute favourites among all SGA stories, FWIW.

Thank you so much for the recs! SGA fandom is such an embarassment of riches when it comes to fanfiction that it's really hard for a total newbie to quickly find what she wants to find. So I really appreciate your help! I'm all for gen and friendship-focused fics, by the way, so your last rec is right up my alley!

True. You can find *any* genre in this fandom, nothing is sacred, which is why it's so awesome. :)

But you know, SGA fandom is also easier to navigate for newbies than a lot of other fandoms. This comm being one of the starting points, the links in the sidebar of the mainpage being the others. You'll be well-acquainted with the fandom well before you run out of things to read on those lists. *g* (By the way, you know that fanlore.org is also a good resource for newbies of any fandom, right?)

Oh yes, I know of Fanlore - it's a great site, and I have already gone through some of the recs listed in SGA section there (in fact,it is due to Fanlore's recs that I got interested in this fandom in the first place - I saw a rec of shaenie's Indelible there, and I loved that fic so much that I wanted more). I agree that this fandom is easier to navigate,at least compared to some of my previous ones. But still, it's so prolific, rich in quality fiction that it's hard to pick what to read sometimes, especially for a person who's interested in many SGA relationships, like me.:)
