Rodney Quits

I want some fics where Rodney quits the SGC. Maybe they're trying to send him to the metaphorical Siberia again, maybe he resigns because he doesn't like what they're doing/ plan on doing. anything! Basically, I just want Rodney going, fuck this bs, and leaving. I mean he's the smartest man in two galaxies, its not like he sticks around because SGC is his only option.
I love John/Rodney, and i'll make a whole plate of cookies if you can have SGC begging Rodney to come back and he doesn't run towards them with open arms.

This is a future fic where Rodney quits the SGC to become a University lecturer. It's implied that the reason Rodney walked away from the SGC was because of John's death, but despite that the story still manages to have a hopeful feel about it.

If you want McShep and happy ever after, Keira Marcos wrote a series where Rodney quit the SGC for health reasons and owns a bar in Colorado, although he does do contractor work.
