On July 17th in Story finders, there was a request for Rodney and Johns daughter coming back in time from future.(reference: Daughter by velocitygrass http://sgastoryfinders.livejournal.com/3332801.html) I really liked this story and was wondering if there were any others out there where the boys have a child or children show up and surprise them whether its by a mirror,the gate going nuts, or an ancient device. If they don't realize yet that they are hot for each other, that would be even better.Thank You.

There's a Big Bang fic called Children of Lantean Design
Summary: An explosion in the abandoned sections sends Atlantis personnel scrambling to find out why. In another universe, Atlantis has fallen. All that's left of the expedition are a group of young refugees fighting for survival in the unexplored regions of the city, transported to a parallel universe by and Ancient device. What started out as a humanitarian effort to heal the kids becomes something more as they begin to find their way in this new universe, like their own but different in fundamental ways. They change the very fabric of Atlantis, and a few meddling kids might be what certain people need to realize what's right in front of their faces.

I know one more with Ancient device - A Beautiful Lifetime Event by shalott-, well, the kid itself doesn't show up from nowhere, but Sheppard and Rodney poking around and activating some kind of ancient incubator certainly wasn't the plan: http://www.intimations.org/fanfic/stargate/lifetime_event.html (and here they don't realize yet that they are hot for each other) "Rodney and John have a child. And it's not a male pregnancy fic. This is a hilarious and touching story. The kid never turns into a mini Mary Sue, like so many kidfics are wont to do. The story's timeline takes the reader over several years of life in Atlantis, and takes into account the changes brought on by slowly growing contact with Earth and the SGC. Wonderfully written, hot, funny, touching, and the characters are very much themselves."

mostly fits this request, surprise child gets them together, but is told from this teenagers POV ans is awesome

(to give you an idea of how awesome this is - I don't McShep and I don't like kid!fic and yet I recommend this every time!)
