AU of an AU story?

Has anyone done an AU of trinityofone's beautiful AU "Mirror Dance" where Rodney chooses NOT to go back to his original appearance? I would LOVE to see (or write, with her permission...) a scene where Carter -- unaware of what happened to them -- shows up in the beginning of what to us is Season 4 and there are twins on Atlantis....

Gee, thanks for spoiling the story for me. I was just about to start in on it; now I get to wonder if there's any surprises left.

In other words, please edit your post ASAP and put the story spoilers behind an lj-cut. I understand this comm doesn't have any clear policies against spoilers, but think it as a personal favor to one of the mods, and everyone else who hasn't yet read that particular story and would like to remain unspoiled. Thanks.

I certainly will. I'm sorry -- I got so excited by the thought and I forget not everyone dislikes suprises just as much as I do. I'll edit it now.

I guess what I was trying to say above and not doing a good job of it -- is I'm one of those people who needs spoilers/warnings/whateveryougo to enjoy a story because I dont like to be jarred out of it by certain things. I'm sorry I ruined it for you and everyone else.

But my request stands -- I do wonder if there's any AUs there with that particular twist.

Sorry I was so harsh, but I was just setting myself down to finally brave another SGA Big Bang story (they're huge! and thus terrifying! for me, at least) and then your post showed up. Bad timing on both parts. *takes off modly hat, stuffs it back in the corner* It's not that I mind spoilers as a rule, but big plot twist spoilers can take all the fun out of some stories for me. *is still trying to bleach out own brain* Still, no harm done.

Thank you -- I'm sorry I took it so hard (I'm literally crying and feeling like five kinds of fool for it), but I really didn't mean to spoil anything. I didn't honestly think it WAS a big plot twist and the sarcasm really took me by surprise.

I accept your apology and thank you for it -- and I hope someone either has written one or the authour will allow me to write one.

Can I just say, you're not wrong about those Big Bang stories? I just finished one that was over 90,000 words long. It was good, but damn! It took days to read. So you're not alone in being overwhelmed by their length :)

I wish they were all podfic'ed like "Theory of Evolution" was; Celtic Tigress did just a great and awesome job reading, the whole thing wasn't boring for a single second, and passed too quickly, even. (Maybe I'm just starting to get lazy, wanting other people to read stuff for me. *g*)
