Multi-genre request!
Nov. 20th, 2007 08:54 amI've been reading the Big Bang fics and now need a bevy of feel-good fic to recover. To that end, I compiled a list of genres that Makes Me Happy with the hopes that ya'll might have some suggestions. If you recommend stories that are long first-timers, I'll probably squish with joy. McKay/Sheppard, please (or let me know if it's otherwise, so I know what I'm getting into:)
-Harlequin! (Seriously, I can't believe this doesn't have it's own tag.) Or, if that fails, fluff! (also no tag!) The reason I'm posting this here (considering there's a *whole community* dedicated to Harlequin SGA fic) is that I think I might have read all of the well-known/well-liked/early fics, so now I'm looking for fic that has been written in the last year or so and is completed. Any suggestions?
-Post-Trinity fic. (Yes, I know this genre isn't known for its puppies and rainbows, but it makes me happy:) Again, I've dug up a lot of stories on my own, but most are quite short and/or contain rape (definitely a no-no when I'm looking for happy fic). ETA: I have already plundered the ginormous post-Trinity post by
iibnf, so what I'm looking for is anything she's missed. If there is anything. Which there might not be:)
-Elf fic. Because you just can't go wrong with elf fic when you're looking for a pick-me-up.
Thanks in advance!

Date: 2007-11-20 09:56 pm (UTC)Anyways, the lovely AU in which John isn't an elf is Jingle Wings (http://community.livejournal.com/harlequin_sga/21403.html), the one in which he's an elf escaped from the toymaking workshops is A Wish for Wings (http://community.livejournal.com/undermistletoe/46273.html), and the in which Rodney is the chief toymaker and John is in charge of the Reindeer, or something, is A Merry McShep Christmas (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=9973). *mutters* And I swear if there's another fic I want to rec you and it turns out be yours? grrrrrr When will you write more, woman? *poke*

Date: 2007-11-20 10:02 pm (UTC)(erm, I'm actually working on a whole series of stories -- in another fandom. Due South, in fact. You wouldn't happen to read DS, do you? I've also started a Sentinel fic, though that's pretty low on my list of fics to update, primiarly because it's NaNoWriMo. But I am writing! A lot, even:)

the elf!John tag (http://www.sga.fictionresource.com/fic_index.php?tag=00144) at Crossroads (and boy, do the Crossroads people hide their tags! You'd think they were made of gold or something)
An Earthly Knight (http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/stories/earthlyknight.htm) by Victoria Custer/
