Pets!

All the Heroes Who Came After really put me in the mood for fics where John, Ronon or Teyla get a pet. It can be regular earth pets, or critters native to the Pegasus galaxy, or even robot pets, like in the excellent Dog Days.

I'm NOT looking for stories where Rodney is given a pet, because I know where to find fic like that already.

"It Followed Me Home... Can I Keep It?" by The Huntress -- mostly about John's alien dog that he 'shares' with Rodney, and ends with Ford & Teyla bringing home an alien cat. McShep Pairing as well as other Pairings, OOC-ness.

"Man's Best Friend" (http://ragdoll987.livejournal.com/13691.html) by ragdoll987 -- John activates a device that is the equivalent to a 'guard dog.' McShep Pairing.

"Sky's the Limit" (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3460980/1/Skys_the_Limit) by kriadydragon -- This isn't quite a fit, but could be considered a close companion, maybe? John gets to do some 'real' flying. No Pairings.
