Rodney McKay: Hero

I'm looking for any stories where Rodney is on his own (i.e. the team aren't there or can't help) and has to take charge and save the day. I'm thinking of Brain Storm/Die Hard/Disaster movie type scenario either on Earth or elsewhere preferably in a situation where the people he's with don't know anything much about him and are initially reluctant to follow him but gradually realise he is their best hope.

The Great Doctor McKay by me_ya_ri: Rodney is kidnapped, mistakenly thought dead, and has to travel across a continent on foot to get to a stargate and back to Atlantis. Along the way he helps people fix things and acquires a 'magic' coat, a sonic screwdriver and a legendary reputation as The Great Doctor McKay.
