Established relationship staleness

Hi there

I have been looking through back entries and can't find a request quite like this. I'm looking for Mcshep established relationship fics where they are in a long-term relationship but that they think it has gone stale. It could be that they are too busy, gotten too comfortable with each other, or basically any of the usual things that happen when a relationship has been going for a while.

Ideally, I am looking for fics showing them try to get the "spark" back in the relationship. I'm not really fussed on how that happens.

toomuchplor wrote a story titled John and Rodney Fucking (http://toomuchplor.dreamwidth.org/100024.html) that depicts five different iterations on their relationship: in one scenario, they're exes, in another they're strangers on their first date, etc. And there's a scenario in which they're in an established relationship and they're bored with the sex, and try something new to spice it up again.

Author's note includes: A little bit of future!fluff written for the prompt: Rodney worrying that John is becoming bored with him because hot sex has dropped off to two or three times a week instead of every time they can get their hands on each other.
