I noticed today that in AU fics whenever John introduces Rodney to his friends for the first time they all seem to like Rodney just as much as John does. I guess I'm in a mean mood but I was wondering if there are any fics out there where John's friends (or family) dislike Rodney upon meeting him and are wondering what John see's in him. Slash is preferred but a Gen Friendship Fic wouldn't be bad (I'd just pretend I saw subtext lol)

You could say that 'The Black Helicopter' series (here (http://archiveofourown.org/series/873) and here (https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AURU5A-g3kUtZG42cWQ4dl81OGRjN21kZHJ4)) by whizzy addresses this theme. John works at SGC and introduces Rodney to others who's not very fond of him at first. It's very slowly developing relationship story between John and Rodney, plus action/adventure/everything else.
