Looking for McShep fics with Episode Tag:5x6-The Shrine

Hello All,

A recent post on sgastoryfinders got me thinking of reading fics that are during or after the episode 5x6 "The Shrine." I am looking for fics that either deal with Keller's inability to see that Rodney had changed and was sick during the episode or the fallout afterwards when Rodney finds out that she might have liked the "friendlier" him better than the original.Also, fics that have deal with Rodney forgetting everybody, but john and Keller having a problem with how close John and Rodney are. A pining!John in the background would be lovely as well, but i want the end result to be a McShep pairing. I prefer longer fics and a NC-17 or R rating, but will take anything. I have looked through sga_episodefic's tag for this episode, but all of them are about 5000 words or under and only one or two are higher than a PG-13 rating, so if you know of any more i would be very appreciative!!

I'm not sure if you've already seen this one but Human Nature by Keira Marcos has Rodney finding out Keller liked him better when he was sick and also has pining John. You can find it at http://keiramarcos.com/2010/02/13/human-nature/

Actually that was the one that first got me interested in this type of story. I loved the fic, just like every other one she's written! Thanks for the rec though;-)

These aren't specifically about 'the shrine' but they are in my -keller stole rodney- folder. In most of these John is pining for Rodney, even if he doesn't know it at the time

The only one I can think of off-hand that is over 5,000wds. is "Primacy" (http://www.fantasi.net/primacy.html) by Chandri MacLeod.

I know I've read quite a few, but apparently I forgot to bookmark a bunch of them. And the ones I've got bookmarked, I think, are the ones that are listed over at sga_episodefic.

This one is post cannon, Jennifer kind of makes him choose between her and Earth and Atlantis and Pegasus, John tries to tell him not to stay without actually saying why he doesn't want him to stay.

This one is a Sheppard/Keller/Mckay of a sort. Keller and Sheppard are united in their grief for Rodney during 'the shrine' and later bring in the one they both want

You're welcome! I had to laugh a bit upon seeing that it was the first listed under The Shrine tag over at sga_episodefic - I should have popped over there first to see what was listed. Oh well... still love that story.

I have an alternate offering that doesn't quite fit your request, but shouldn't be missed IMO.

"Heart Arrhythmia" (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=15104) by lavvyan -- Starts off as Keller/McKay & ends McShep Pairing... While this story happens post-The Shrine, it doesn't really go into it. Also, Keller's not painted black with her trying to get Rodney to act other than he is - in fact, it is rather glossed over since it's from Rodney's POV. As the story is from Rodney's POV as events are occurring, the reader sees him fully ready to accept his own part of the blame for certain events while he still has that knee-jerk reaction. As odd as this sounds, Rodney really comes across as kinda sweet in his own way. The word count is somewhere around 5,500 and the rating is PG-13... there's Pining!John, Oblivious-but-Pining!Rodney, not to mention a Pissed-at-Keller-for-spoiler-reasons!John. ;)
