gen fic with queer character(s)

I'm looking for gen/friendship fic where one of characters is gay, but the fic is not about any particular romantic pairing. A character coming out to another character, a fic showing that two characters can have a close friendship without becoming a couple, stuff like that...

has gay Rodney who has feelings for John ,but the whole story is about there friendship. Its not one of those one where John suddenly realizes he in love with Rodney too.They just stay friends.

Less Like Freedom Than You Might Assume by bluflamingo - Lorne deals with the end of DADT on Atlantis. Some good Sheppard & Lorne friendship, and only hints of minor background pairings.

I thought I had more, but I can't find them now. I'll return if I do.
