I'd really like to read some slash fics where the guys, or just one of them, actually embraces and acts in a way stereotypical to gay culture. If they're military maybe it's something they only do around those they trust. So much fic tends to emphasize that they are still the masculine men that appear on the show, and I'm not saying that isn't an aspect of them, but there are certain nuances of gay culture, things that set your gaydar pinging, that don't come up much in Atlantis slash that may also be a part of who they are.  Lets see some pride. They landed in San Fransisco- there's got to be fic that went there.

Any rating or pairing is great, though I tend toward McShep. AUs are also welcome. Thank you!

There's a bit of that in [livejournal.com profile] amireal's Scenes from a Lesser War.

Crap, just read your request again and this doesn't really fit it. It's set in SF in the Castro, though.

This one sort of fits your request in a roundabout way:

It's a small element of OK Computer (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/OKComputer.html) by Cesperanza that Rodney assumes he knows John, but learns that given the choice John has a few stereotypical quirks, like enjoying dressing well.
