1) I'm looking for fics where the plot/story centers around John and Cameron in basic training together.

2) Brand new fics. I've been out of the fandom for months, and I don't know any of the new fics. So please rec your newest Mcshep and Cam/John stories please!

2. If you just want to see what's new in John/Cam, try the update list. (There are a couple of new pieces from somehowunbroken that I still need to add, but otherwise I think it's fairly current.)

-blushes- Right, sorry about the vague request. I've been gone for over 4 months. I'll read Gen and Slash (John must be in the main pairing, any male is fine) only. I'll not read Non-con or infidelity, other than that I'll read just about anything else.

I agree with skaredykat: "Imaginary Boys" is excellent.

Beyond that, there haven't been a lot of big John/Cam stories in the last four months--mostly it's been short pieces, and not many of those. I'm assuming you were around when sg_flyboys ran? If not, I can give you recs from that. Otherwise, with so few stories and all of them so short, I'm inclined to say just go through the chronological update list and see what strikes your fancy.

Oh, you don't know about sg_flyboys? Hmm...how much John/Cam have you read?

Since you missed that, I'll give you the full rundown of resources:

1. sg_flyboys - the John/Cam community, and the home of the annual John/Cam thing-a-thon, which has run three times so far. (There's also an sg_flyboys on Dreamwidth, which is not a direct mirror of the LJ version, but it is also John/Cam.)

2. My John/Cam fic list, which is here.

3. The John/Cam Crossroads Index, maintained by gaffsie over here.

#2 and #3 mostly cover the same material, but they're organized differently--mine by series and title, and Crossroads by trope (and sortable by author). So which one you want depends on what you're looking for.

If you haven't read much John/Cam and want a particular type of story (first time, John as a member of SG1, angst...whatever), then let me know and I can rec some specific pieces.

If you haven't read much and just want some general recs of the best stories, I can make suggestions there too, but of course, that will just be my opinion. You can also post a request in sg_flyboys and possibly get some other opinions too.

And if you just want recent stuff then yeah, check out the chronological list of updates.

O_O Wow. Um, I've read a Cam/John BB Where John was a thief, and then works for the SGC as a mathematician. That's about it.

I'd like to read some where John is a member of the SGC/SG-1.If you have any of those.If not, I'm more than willing to wade through everything, and jump right in. Or ones that are your favorites/can't live without/must reads.

I only recently got into this pairing: due to that BB. I used to be McShep only, but then I learned what I was missing. xD

Sorry for being so vague in my request. I didn't know there was so much out there!

For John as a member of SG1, try bluflamingo's Shadows'verse. Go here and then scroll down a bit until you see the Shadows'verse header. The first story is "Lines in the Dark." She also wrote some separate stories with John as a member of SG1: How to Survive the Far Reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy in 5 Easy Steps and the prequel, Still With Me. (Actually, I'd recommend all of her John/Cam fic--she's a wonderful writer.)

There's also Steal the Thunder From the Sky by minervacat, which doesn't feature John as a member of SG1, but does have him on vacation with SG1. And it's an excellent, excellent story. (You may want to start with the gen prequel, The Towers On The Heights Reach To Heav'n's Own Blue, but you don't absolutely have to.)
