The one where Rodney knows Shakespeare...

Poking in with a few requests...


1. As a graduate lit student, I know quite a few fellow lit geeks who are arrogant and  brilliant like Rodney...thus the idea set in... Are there any AU fics in which Rodney is graduate/post-grad student/professor of literature? I was thinking that maybe Zelenka is also a lit geek and maybe John is an actor? (haha...a line ran through my head in typical uppity!McKay: "Shakespeare? You know nothing about Shakespeare! You actors always get him wrong!" or something to that effect...hehe)

2. In which Zelenka has a family back on Earth? I'm thinking he has a wife and a couple kids or something...and is conflicted because he's attracted to/interested in Rodney. First time ftw.

3. In which Zelenka is kidnapped by the children on that kid!planet? Maybe they want to keep him around because he's small like them, or maybe because he makes a great father figure...I dunno.

As you can tell...I'm on a McKay/Zelenka trip right now. Thanks in advance!

For #2 I think The Secret Life of Scientists (http://www.yearningvoid.net/stories/julad/000082.html) by julad might fit (and it's an awesome story and should be read at all cost *g*); it's from Rodney's POV, and Rodney/Radek eventually, and Radek has an ex-wife and kids back on Earth, but the angsting over it all is missing. (Still, if you haven't read it yet, you Must. Go. Now.)

Thanks for the rec! However, I have read, saved, bookmarked, and re-read over and over (repeat!) The Secret Life of Scientists. It's such a wonderful fic! It was also my first Rodney/Radek fic...*sigh* Just lovely.

Yes! Haha omg...I don't know why I didn't realize that they were both written by the same person though...lol.

I love that one too...I read it at work and had to try to keep the hysterics quiet!
